and today I will show you how you can do this tool that you can create hyper targeted LinkedIn sales Navigator searches and because of this you're able to pitch the right people and make your connections and emails always hit the bull side.
Welcome here to my screen my name is Marco and in the last few years only I generated over 4,000 leads on LinkedIn by myself for my own company and with leads I don't mean some data that I scraped, with leads I mean people that shared the number with me in the chat because they're interested to speak with us about our offerings.
As we all know targeting people here in LinkedIn can be pretty technical but that's in the end also a good thing. For example you can Target People based on Technologies their company use. This too often gets overlooked especially when using the LinkedIn Sales navigator that you can see already here but it is insanely powerful for B2B companies agencies and also SAAS businesses. You can focus here your entire search on people that use a particular software and today I will show you exactly how to do this.
For todays example we will take Shopify. That's for example a number one indicator that you need if your clients are Ecom business. Or we can also talk about Salesforce for a second example. There are a lot of occasions where you want to deal with people who use the software salesforce. It's quite an expensive platform so this qualifies the person or the company that they have a budget that they spend already money on, investing into the growth of the company.
Now I want to show you exactly how to target this type of people here on LinkedIn:
First Step that we need to do is instead of normally use lead filters we will go into account filters. So now here we want to use the filters like for example company head count, etc. Our goal is to have companies with 11 to 50 and 51 to 200 people then after we've done this, we simply scroll down here to technology used. So here we want to put in for example Shopify. There we can see there are a lot of different Shopify types, but if you select the first one we get now all the people here that are using Shopify. So what we also want to have then is headquarter location. So here you want to put in for example Dubai. What you can see now already here we have now all the companies that are using Shopify in Dubai that have 11 to 50 and 51 to 200 employees. So now what we want to do is we want to select them all. Then we click on save to list and now we want to build a list. So this list we can for example name Shopify and then we can simply click on Create and save.
So what we want to do now is we want to select every single company here. For this we simply scroll down we go to the second page then we can select all again, save to list, then we can put it to the list Shopify, and the same again with the next page.
This now needs a little bit of patience and you need to have a little bit of discipline because we need to do this for every single page. We always need to click select all, save to list, then the list will grow and grow and grow, but believe me it's worth it.
What we want to do then is, we want to go to lead filters, then we scroll down a little bit and then we want to choose your account list and there is then exactly the list that we just made. So what we can see now here is from all the companies that we selected are all the employees inside this companies and from here it's exactly the same like the last time we want to put in the job titles, the seniority levels, etc. to make sure you reach the right person in the organization that is the decision maker, that can actually decide if he wants to work with us or not. After you have done this, after you put in for example the CEOs, the founders, the owners, the managing partners and all this type of stuff there you will see then that on the right side you literally have the best list possible, because in that case in the search that I just did here these are now only CEOs and founders of companies that are using Shopify and to them we can easily sell for example our marketing services where we can help them to win more clients or to make more sales for their e-commerce store.
So that way we now have a precise and extremely targeted search of people where we know they're running an e-commerce business, so now the only thing that is left to do after you made this targeted search is to reach out to everybody. There you have two options:
First option is to simply do it manually as you can see here you can just send them for example a connection request or you can view the profile but obviously this takes a lot of time.
